were posthumously inducted. Glen Campbell, Jessi Colter
and 16 others were also inducted. Also on the performing
bill were Jessi Colter, Dyke & the Blazers (of "Funky
Funky Broadway" fame), and others. Mark Guerrero
performed two Lalo Guerrero songs, "Los Chucos Suaves"

and "Pre-Columbian Dream," as well as Lalo Guerrero's
"El Corrido de Delano," "Los Chucos Suaves,"

Also on the bill were pioneer Chicano rockers, El Chicano.
Mark played guitar and sang the co-lead vocal with El Chicano
on their hit version of "Brown Eyed Girl."

CA - performed at the 7th Annual Cesar E. Chavez Awards
Dinner with an acoustic trio. Mark sang his song "The
Ballad of Lalo Guerrero," and Lalo Guerrero's "El
Corrido de Delano" and "Los Chucos Suaves,"
backed by Alex Armstrong and Lorenzo Martinez. The trio
then backed Mark's brother Dan on Lalo Guerrero's "El
Chicano." Arnold Scwartzenegger received an award
and spoke at the event. Lalo Guerrero received a posthumous

Blowout 2009, Van Nuys, CA-
Garage rock show at the Van Nuys Elk's Lodge featuring
13 bands. Mark's teenage band, Mark & the Escorts
(1963-66), reunited for the show. Mark & the Escorts
original member Rick Rosas, now Neil Young's bass player,
performed with the band, as well as original members Mark
Guerrero, Ernie Hernandez, Robert Warren, and Trini Basulto.
John Valenzuela sat in on keyboard. Valenzuela was a
member of Mark's 70s band, Tango. Thee Ambertones, another
East L.A. band of the 60s, reunited for the show. (2009)
East Los Angeles College-
performed with my reunited 70s band, Tango (1973-74),
for an event celebrating the new edition of the book "Land
of a Thousand Dances" by David Reyes and Tom Waldman.
Performing in Tango were original members Mark Guerrero, John
Valenzuela, and Ernie Hernandez. Richard Rosas was not
able to perform because he was on the road with Neil Young.
In his place on bass was Leo Valenzuela, younger brother of
original member John. Sitting in on keyboard was Alex
Del Zoppo, a member of Sweetwater who played at Woodstock
in '69. Also on the bill were Lysa Flores and Quetzal.

exhibit called "Songs of Conscience, Sounds of
Freedom." Mark Guerrero's 1972 45 rpm single
"I'm Brown" and the original manuscript of his lyric
were also

ten flyers, five band cards, a radio music chart
from the 1960s music scene in East Los Angeles,

"El Cantante"-
a movie based on the true story of the King of Salsa,
Hector Lavoe, who
started the salsa movement in 1975 and brought it
to the United States. Provided images of flyers
and posters for scenes in the film. (2006)
"In Thee Midnite
Hour"- CD compilation by the legendary
East L.A. band of the 60s, Thee Midniters, released
on Norton Records. Provided flyers from the
period for use on the CD and vinyl album cover and

Internet Radio- "Chicano
Music Chronicles"- Mark Guerrero's radio show on which
aired on crnlive.com from December 2005 to August 2007.
The show featured the music of Chicano music pioneers and
legends, with in studio interviews with the artists.
Each show aired once a week and ran for a month or two.
