the music of Lalo Guerrero. Part two features some of

The Godfrey Show
on KTYM 1966- Excerpt from Godfrey's popular Los Angeles
radio show of the mid-sixties. Godfrey's show was very
popular in East Los Angeles. He played many of the recordings
of the East L.A. bands of the era and was part of the scene
in East L.A.'s golden age. In this clip, Godfrey is
publicizing a dance at St. Alphonsus Auditorium in East L.A.,
where my band, The Men From S.O.U.N.D., happened to be on
the bill with The Olympics of "Hully Gully" fame,
Little Willie G. & Thee Midniters and others. Click
