The Godfrey Show on KTYM 1966- Excerpt from Godfrey's popular Los Angeles radio show of the mid-sixties.  Godfrey's show was very popular in East Los Angeles.  He played many of the recordings of the East L.A. bands of the era and was part of the scene in East L.A.'s golden age.  In this clip, Godfrey is publicizing a dance at St. Alphonsus Auditorium in East L.A., where my band, The Men From S.O.U.N.D., happened to be on the bill with The Olympics of "Hully Gully" fame, Little Willie G. & Thee Midniters and others.  Click the link to hear the excerpt:  Godfrey 1966  (1 minute 26 seconds)

Mark Guerrero NPR Interview- National Public Radio "All Things Considered"- "live" by telephone on March 18, 2005, the day after the passing of Mark's dad, Lalo Guerrero.  The interview aired nationally.

Mark and Dan Guerrero KPFK Interview- "Global Village" with Maggie Lapique- broadcast "live" on May 9, 2005 at KFPK radio in Studio City, California.  World music expert Betto Arcos also participated in studio.  Mark & Dan discuss and play music from the career of their father, the late Lalo Guerrero.  Two and a half hours in three parts:  (Part one begins with an interesting 50 second promo for KPFK's classic rhythm & blues show, "Rhapsody in Black.")  Part one  (66 minutes 8 seconds)

Mark Guerrero WPMD.org Interview- "Steve Propes 45s Show" with Steve Propes- broadcast "live" on October 17, 2009 on wpmd.org from Cerritos College in Cerritos, California.  Steve Propes is a devotee of rhythm & blues, doo wop, surf, rockabilly, garage, low rider, girl groups, gospel of the '40s through the '60s, preferably on vinyl.  Steve has also hosted cable TV shows on the subject on which Mark has also been a guest.  On part one, Mark mainly features the music of Lalo Guerrero.  Part two features some of Mark's early recordings with his first band, Mark & the Escorts as well as recordings of other East L.A. bands and vocalists of the 60s.  Part one (59 minutes 41 seconds)  Part two (57 minutes 12 seconds)

Mark Guerrero "Xispa con Tita" Interview- "Xispa con Tita" with Ariana "Tita" Gallegos, interview via cell phone broadcast "live" on February 3, 2008 on Radio Hispana 1470 am, which covers an area from Oceanside, California down to Rosarito, Mexico, as well as on the internet at crnlive.com.  Mark talks about his and his father's music, as well as his own music and work to promote Chicano music and conserve its history.  Mark's 1972 recording of "I'm Brown" is played at the end of the show.
